  • I am over 40, and I have several tattoos. On my 40th birthday, I celebrated by getting another one, an angel on my back/shoulder in the style of a medieval woodcut .

  • I did the same thing. I did what felt right for myself and my kids, and for each child it was different. One needed more closeness and reassurance, and she is still rather sensitive and needs that today.

  • IQ is relative to how other people your age are doing. Her IQ right now would not match an adult (although her knowledge of science would probably be better than a kid in college.) She might know the planets but not know how to tie her shoes yet. It's relative.

  • Zuper, your smelly Mensa car story doesn't really mean anything about Mensa as a whole. Many people on the autism spectrum are very bright and score well on tests. So, they might be socially awkward, or not care what you think about the smell of their pet ferrets, etc.

  • Um, if I were making out with my boss at work while I was supposed to be doing my job, I would be fired. Regardless of the fact that they were both married, this was during school hours. If they want to have an affair on their own time, fine.

  • Fed up, I direct you to this photo: a doctor with full sleeve tattoos. You can't see them under his lab jacket, can you? I know several doctors and nurses that sport tattoos and piercings.

  • Perhaps in general, people with tattoos are more likely to take risks. This may or may not be related to other risky behaviors. Or, they might just be creative.
